1. It
is the responsibility of the shipper (customer) to pack and seal the box(s) or
the plastic barrel(s).
2. It
is the responsibility of the shipper to label the box (es) or plastic
barrel(s).
3. Each
country Customs, Excise and Preventive Service will INSPECT EACH AND EVERY ITEM
THAT IS ENTERING THE COUNTRY. Meaning they will unpack every box or plastic
barrel to make sure there are no contrabands therein. Once the inspection is
over, GLOBAL X representative in Ghana will pack every item back into their original
box or barrel.
4. It
is the responsibility of each shipper to make sure there are no contrabands in
the box or plastic barrel they submit for shipping. Contraband is defined as “illegal
or prohibited traffic in goods; or goods or merchandise whose importation,
exportation, or possession is forbidden” (Merriam Webster).
5. To
help keep the cost of shipping down and to promote customer satisfaction,
GLOBAL X strongly encourages each customer to list every item in the box (es)
or plastic barrel. Giving the GLOBAL X Agents packaging list does not
constitute our ACCEPTANCE OR DENIAL OF THE ITEMS IN THE BOX OR PLASTIC BARREL.
6. Once
the items reach Ghana, each customer has two (2) days from the day of contact
from GLOBAL X Agents to clear their goods. After the expiration of the two (2)
days grace period, the customer will be liable for any additional charges
incurred thereof. GLOBAL X will not in any way is liable for missing items.
7. Customers
shipping Cars, are given the option of finding agent of choice to clear their
cars, or may be allowed GLOBAL X Affiliate Company to clear the cars for them.
There are additional charges such as handling charges, and amendment fees. You
only pay amendment fees if you go with different agent. If GLOBAL X affiliate
clears your car for you, you will not pay the amendment fees.
8. We
strongly encourage our customers to not use the paper boxes due to their
weakness. They break easily. We are not responsible should there be any breakages
and some items get missing.
